We are a very friendly group of gardeners here at Walsall Road Allotments in Birmingham.  Newcomers are welcomed and help and advice is always available if needed.

If you are interested in having a plot please contact Betty (growit@blueyonder.co.uk) and we will arrange for you to come and visit us.

We do have a waiting-list but it will be well worth the wait.

Albert

Albert, who will be 90 in July 08 has the distinction of being our oldest plotholder.  He has had a plot since 1982 and was a Committee member and Treasurer for five years.  His plot provides a wonderful variety of vegetables throughout the year.

There is a lot going on at Walsall Road Allotments.  As well as the usual allotment things, we have competitions with many of our plot-holders joining in.  We hope you will enjoy this website, and look forward to seeing your comments in the Guest book

Allotments are not only for growing fruit and vegetables.

Local artist Teresinha Roberts grows plants on her plot which she uses to dye materials for her hand-made cards.  She has also appeared on Gardeners' World with Monty Don. Teresinha gives a talk called 'An Allotment to Dye for'. You can contact her on info@wildcolours.co.uk

Visit her website and learn more about this fascinating hobby.
